    Hello,

    We would like to update our IMC version.
    Current version: iMC PLAT 7.3 (E0506
    What would be the best way to update it? one by one or directly to the last one.

    Thank you  !

    Hello, the release of HP iMC PLAT v7.3 E0506 dates back to 2017 (so 8 years ago!).

    Even if it is theoretically possible (but you must follow a very long list of interim steps described into each v7.3 Exxnn Release Notes ever published with, example, xx=05, 06 and 07 with the nn numbering varying whitin each Exx major), it's going to be a very long and dangerous journey upgrade your HP iMC PLAT v7.3 E0506 up to current version HPE iMC PLAT v7.3 E0710.

    Not to speak about the necessity to concurrently ensure full compatibility, for each interim version you will temporarily hit, of supported underlying OSes and SQL Servers...and this during the whole upgrade cycle, from the start to the end of the upgrade procedure. A real nightmare IMHO.

    If I were you I'll probably evaluate another scenario: start from scratch with a new OS, a new SQL Server and new IMC Platform (relicensing included). A true new beginning.

    Hello,

    as parnassus said this will be a long procedure. Very important is what is the DB (local or remote) and the SQL Server version, because old SQL Servers are not supported in the latest IMC version.

    You also forgot to mention if you have additional modules, etc.

    The upgrade path only for the IMC Plat will be E0506-> E0605 -> E0705 -> E0706 -> E0708 ->E0710

    If you have SW support contract you can open a case with the support. We will provide you the exact upgrade path for you and you can deside if you will try to do the migration or just do a fresh install

    Regards,
