  • 1.  Minimum client OS version

New to Aruba-nation and Aruba Central. We just deployed 500+ Aruba 635 AP's district wide. We have some iPads running iOS 12.x that are having issues connecting. My question - is there a minimum client OS version that Aruba will allow connections?

    Hello,
What firmware version do the AP-635s have in Aruba Central?
I understand that it will be one of these versions that I put in the table, but it is just to check.

Here are the minimum versions of the operating system:

So with iPad 12.1 you shouldn't have any versioning problems.

As a side note and if you are considering upgrading iOS versions, please note: iOS 15.0 and iOS 15.1 are not supported due to a bug in iOS, which was fixed by Apple in iOS 15.2.

    Best Regards

In General the OS Version should be independent to the capability to connect to the Wi-Fi.
We should investigate here and for that we need information.

Which version of code are you running?
What exactly is the experience of the Clients and in which stage they aren´t able to connect?
What have you done so far for troubleshooting?
Since you are using Aruba Central, any more information seen on Wi-Fi Connectivity Dashboard, AI Insights?
Have you looked into Event Log of the Client to investigate?
