    Hi,

is it possible, to mix outdoor antennas in a mesh design, 1x Omni 5G for Access & 1x Directional 2,4G for Uplink for example?

    thanks

    kindly regards

Firstly, yes, so long as you are NOT mixing antenna types and coverage patterns on the *same radio*, you're fine. that said, I would not recommend 2.4Ghz for mesh. It has the highest noise floors, most interference and contention, and will be subject to higher environmental issues that can cause link drop or severe impariment. Additionally, there's only 3 available channels, all of which will offer the lowest throughput due to the higher noise floor and contention.

    Thank you for your reply!

So it is technically and theoretically possible to operate 2x different 5G radios with different antennas?

The 375 only has one 5G radio, and all four connectors of that radio should be using either a 4x4 antenna, or an antnena where all elements / individual antennas have the same coverage patterns and cover the same area.

For example, you should never hook up two different 5Ghz directional antennas to the same radio and point them in different directions. Ever. Same goes for using an omni and directional on the same radio.
