    Hi Team,

My client wants to Mix AP-505 for corridors and AP-635 for lobbies. What is the impact of this?

    Please clarify.

    Thanks,

    Shamal

there is no issue mixing it since both models are 2x2:2 .

just be aware that 6Ghz band requires WPA3. Some older clients non-6E, don't operate properly with WPA3

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.

What do you think of roaming. If a 6GHz client roams to 5GHz AP, it will reconnect right? that removes the seamless roaming?

    Thanks.

as long as you are using WPA3 ESSID on 5 GHz and 6GHz bands, you should be fine. But as I mentioned earlier, always test the older clients.

From what I've seen of client behavior, if the client ever connects to 5 GHz then the device is unlikely to roam to 6 GHz.  So any installation where you expect people to be moving between islands of 6 GHz coverage will usually result in very little activity within the 6 GHz band.
