I need to clarify MM Licensing: If I have 10 MC and  2000 AP  running 6.x and i now migrate to 8.1

In 6.x I have 2000 AP-Lic

When I now migrate to 8.1 and the MM is only to configure the MC and will not terminate any AP how much/which Lics I need to add?

I thought I have to add 10 extra Lics for the 10 MC and migrate the 2000 AP-Lic to run on the MM.

Just a quick quest regarding the MM-VM.

If I wanna do failover netween MM I will need to purchase basically double MM-VA-250 for each device.

Meaning 2 MM for 250 Devices for HA eqauls 2X250 MM-VA-250 Correct?

It will start of with 180AP's and 2 MC running in HA and room for growth on the AP's.

There is no 250 AP MM.  Do you plan Master/standby (layer2 redundancy) or primary/secondary (layer3 redundancy)?

For Layer2 redundancy I think you need

1x MM-VA-500  (install it twice for Master/Standby)

180x LIC-AP

Service and maybe 180x PEF, 180x RF-Protect , ...

i attached a screenshot with 4 MM:  primary active/standby + secondary active/standby which terminate only MC.

For that setup with 500AP i wanted to clarify the licensing:

2x MM-VA-500 (for standby just install it twice?)

1000 Lic AP  (500 for primary and 500 for secondary)

can somebody confirm that?
