I'm currently reading through the RAP VRD, and it appears to be somewhat out of date (dated 2012, and covering AOS version 6.1). Is there are more recent version avilable anywhere, preferably around AOS 6.4? Or if not, at least a summary of what relevant changes have happened since this was written?
fsweeter,
If there is something more specific that you would like to ask us about RAP deployments, please post. There is a RAP Wizard, but essentially you would only need to:
- Configure a regular VAP/SSID the way you would normally in an ap-group
- Configure an address pool under Configuration> Advanced Services> VPN Services. A non-routable address pool (8.8.8.1-8.8.8.30 is my favorite) should be fine
- Provision the AP setting the option Remote AP> Yes and Remote AP Authentication Method> Certificate. Put the external ip address that you will be using for the controller in the "Master Controller IP Address/DNS name" box and then click provision. Please know that provisioning a remote AP with the method certificate will automatically add or update the RAP whitelist with the AP name, mac address and ap-group.
On a basic level, this is all you would need to do to get it up and running. All of the other "involved" things are based on specific customization beyond that. Please let us know here if you have any further issues.
