It will be a new base version 7.3 E0710 in this case. So you will be able to install it directly.

Hi @jguse will the next HPE IMC 7.3 release be a new patch for the current HPE IMC PLAT 7.3 E0708 Patch 03 (say, as example, E0708 Patch 04) or will it be a completely new release, say HPE IMC 7.3 E0709, as example?
I'm in the process of reinstalling our Linux based HPE IMC from scratch (with licensing migration) and it would be useful to know if waiting few days will bring us a completely new HPE IMC 7.3 E0709 release (thus to be installed ex-novo) or it will bring just a new patch for the current E0708 (a Patch to be applied against the current E0708 or against any of its subsequent patches, forcing me to install the older HPE IMC 7.3 E0708 first and then patching to the latest available patch).
Thanks!
Have a nice day.

Hello,
No need to risk it, just wait a bit longer. The next iMC Release will be published soon (probably like 1-2 weeks at most), and it adds support for MSSQL 2022 :)

I have a very old server with Windows 2016, IMC PLAT 7.3 (E0708P03) and SQL Server 2014.
I have already in place a modern server with Windows 2022 and SQL Server 2022. It is already having several installations for other intern IT systems utilizing the SQL Server 2022 database. I would like to migrate iMC to this server.
I guess iMC do not officially support SQL 2022 as database, but if I am willing to risk it, is there any flag or option to set that makes it possible to install iMC to a SQL Server 2022 database? Or am I screwed? :-)
