    Take for example the attached network.  There are no redundant link between the switches, however if you enable STP on each switch one of them would become root. Now add another 30 5412's and all with 6 to 12 switches per site.  

    I would figure to do the following but I am not certain if there are better ways.

    a. Enable STP on all swtiches.
    b. Make each Site Router STP Priority 0
    c. Make each swtich nearest to each router STP priority 8, and then bump 1 priority to each additional switch.
    d. Enable bpdu-protect and loop protect on non uplink ports.

    Questions:
    1. Is the above ok or problematic?
    2. Because each router is manually set to priority zero is that ok?
    3. How can you protect from someone plugging in two devices on the same switch for the edge ports?
    4. Anything I did not consider?
