  • 1.  NBX 6.5 CALL TRANSFER

    Hi!



    I'm having some problems with NBX Messaging when the auto attendant answer the call and I dial the number that I want to reach the system say "please wait I’m transferring you now" and the call goes MUTE until someone answer in the extension that I’ve dialed. It was suppose to keep ringing until someone pickup the call.



    Thats a big problem to me becouse if the other side take some time to answer most of the people think that the call has dropped and hangs up.



    How can I fix that?

    Sounds like you have Music On Transfer enabled, but no music source tied to the NBX. That would result in silence during the transfer.

    Check the Enable Features System Wide Netset page and see if Music on Transfer is enabled...do you have a music source plugged into your NBX???

    I have no music source plugged into my NBX.



    My settings (Enable Features System-Wide):

    OFF -Handsfree on Internal Transfer/Camp On

    OFF - Handsfree on External Transfer/Camp On

    ON - Enable SIP

    OFF - One Button Transfer

    OFF - Pulse Dialing

    OFF - System-Wide CLIR

    ON - Supervisory Monitoring

    OFF - Call Timer

    OFF - Music on Hold

    OFF - Music on Transfer

    ON - NBX Messaging (always available) with G729



    External Page Alert Volume: 5

    External Paging Delay: Long Delay

    Caller ID Wait Timer: 6

    Extensions Start At: 1000

    External Prefix: 9

    RTP DTMF Payload Type: 97

    another question.

    1. does this occur on internal transfers? or tranfers from outside calls?? if outside, what kind of card are you using? an analog card? or PRI??

    Are you using built in Messaging or are you using the VCX sip IP messaging?

    Sorry about the delay. Only outside calls that come from a trusted endpoint SIP. Over PSTN it works fine.



    Using built in Messaging of NBX 6.5 SIP MODE.

    What kind of trusted SIP endpoint is it? I know in our Audiocodes gateways, the ringback functionality has to be set on the Audiocodes.
