    Greetings:
We were considering to buy Aruba 6200F Layer 2+ switch JL728A#ABA 48 PORT and Layer 3 JL658A - 24 PORT and Layer 3 JL726A#ABA - 52 PORT.  Looks like our budget request may not get approved.

    Question 1:
Will Aruba Instant On 1930 48G Class4 PoE 4SFP/SFP+ 370W Switch (JL686A) meet the following requirements?

    Forwarding bandwidth    104 Gbps
    Switching capacity    176 Gbps
    Forwarding Rate            130.95 Mpps
Stacking bandwidth    80 Gbps  (Does it support stacking - if so how many units can be stacked)
    DRAM size    1 GB
    Flash size    512 MB
    sFlow support    Yes
    NetFlow support    Yes
    DHCP Snooping    Yes
    10Gbps uplink ports

    -Spanning Tree algorithm
    -Broadcast limit
    -IP Multicast Filtering
    -VLAN support for Layer 2
-VLAN Trunking using IEEE 802.1p/q. (Calling VOIP phone 802.1p tags the traffic with
priority tag 6(voice) and the layer 2 switch should preserve that tag and take it to the
root router (layer 3 switch) which will convert it to layer 3 DSCP tags. The firewall also
should support the 802.1p/q and DSCP tags)
    -LLDP support
    -LACP support
    -IPv6 Neighbor Discovery Protocol

FYI - here is the network layout in two buildings - connecting via VPN

    Location 1:
    1  - Layer 3 switch 24 Port 10Gbps
    5  - Layer 2 switch 48 Port 1Gbps POE supporting 45 Ubiquiti U6-Wifi
    10 - Layer 2 switch 48 port 1Gbps non-POE

    Location 2:
    1 - Layer 3 switch 24 port 10Gbps
    3 - Layer 2 switch 24 port 1Gbps POE
    1 - Layer 2 switch 48 port 1Gbps POE - Supporting 24 Ubiquiti U6-Wifi
    1 - Layer 2 switch 48 port 1Gbps Non

    Question 2:
What is the part numbers for
-Aruba Instant On 1930 48G Non POE
-Aruba Instant On 1930 24G POE (is POE power 370W, Fwdg bandwid 104G, Switch Capacty 176G, FWD Rate 130Mpps)
-Aruba Instant On 1930 24G Non POE

    Question 3:
    What will be Layer 3 equivalent in 1930 series for 6200F JL658A - 24 PORT and JL726A#ABA - 52 PORT

    Question 4:
What kind of central management is being offered by HPE for 1930 series switches?

    Thanks!

Instant On is a different product line that has many features for small-medium business, but don't have all enterprise features.
You can ask questions about Instant On better on the Instant On forums. The specifications for the 1930 switches are here.

Aruba InstantON is managed from the Aruba InstantON cloud-based management platform. It had not that much features and is pretty next-next-finish. Aruba InstantON have no stacking or CLI interface, anything is cloudbased and mentioned for small business with less requirement.

Aruba CX6200 have a CLI interface and can be managed in many ways and use Aruba Central as cloud-based management platform. You can configure many enterprise features and have a larger routing table than the Instant ON version.

You can't compare this to switches because it are to different producted lines.

The CX6200 is the first switch in the modern portofolio that support stacking.

Personally i will only use enterprise products, work with InstantOn once but missing a lot of enterprise features and is harder to troubleshoot without CLI.

If i use a network management software like AUVIK  and use the sflow capture to manage the instanton 1930 switches.  Is there a limitation on the number of switches that can be used in a network ?   I will have 25 instanton in one building and 15 instanton in another building.

currently i am using HP 2530 48 port 1Gbps switch  (J9778A) which has the following specs:
    1000Mb latency < 2.2 µs (LIFO 64-byte packets)
    100Mb latency < 6.6 µs (LIFO 64-byte packets)
Throughput Up to 13 million p/s (64-byte packets)
    Switching capacity 17.6 Gb/s

If i use   ARUBA INSTANT ON 48GBPS  (JL686B)
thru put 130.95 Mpps and switching capacity  176 Gbps which is much superior

Can I mix and match Instanton with HP 2530 switch?

    Thanks!
