I have Aruba 7210 and I found the controller using channel 5 and 7, how I can force the controller to use the 1,6 and 11 channels.

The regulatory domain profile defines what channels can be used.

    dear cjoseph,

appreciate your prompt, but my situation that I need to enforce the controller to work in 1,6 and 11 channels in the 2.4Ghz. and I dont think the domain will have any effect on this, as far as I know:
    US: 1-11
    EMEA: 1 - 13
    Japan : 1 - 14

so my point is I need the controller to distribute channels 1,6 and 11 on the WiFi APs that brdcst the 2.4 to impedes the overlapping in this band.

    Hi,

Regulatory Domain allows you to select which channels (out of available ones in specific country) you want to configure on which band. Example:

    (conf t)#ap regulatory-domain-profile "COUNTRY"
(Regulatory Domain profile COUNTRY)#valid-11(lots of options to chose from, e.g. "valid-11g-channel/valid-11a-channel/...")

By entering which channels you want to allow you are fixing APs to work on them only. Hope it helps.

Be advised that the default configuration only uses 20MHz channels on 2.4 with channels 1,6,11. If you see different channels, someone changed that setting. It is under the AP Group's Radio settings if you want to change it:
