  • 1.  OSPF import-route direct not working when using vpn-instance

    Posted Feb 06, 2019 09:26 AM

    Hi All

I am using some 5820X 24XG SFP+ (JC102A) running OSPF with multiple vpn-instances. I have some trouple with the import-route direct command, it works fine for the OSPF instance running without a vpn-instance, but for the other OSPF instances running a vpn-instance it wont import the routes and i need to configure the networks manually.

I have tried searching but can't seem to find any answers, so I hope that you can help me :)

    Best regards

    Danny

    Hello Danny,

    Good day!

Can you check below community post.

    https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=mmr_sf-EN_US000005304

I believe to allow external routes in ospf database we need to add command "vpn-instance-capability simple "

    Thanks!

    I am an HPE Employee

I'm using HP Comware 7 and using ospf version 2 under multiple vpn-instance.

For one vpn-instance named MPP,  the ospf routes are not reflecting under my vpn-instance routing table MPP.

I can see these ospf routes in my ospf database table using the "dispaly ospf lsdb"

Why is that some ospf routes are reflectinf and some are not under my vpn-instance routing table MPP?

Will adding the command "vpn-instance-capability simple" under my ospf fix this issue?
