    Hello,

We are currently configuring a Aruba Instant On 1930 switch with port based authentication. The switch is connected to a Windows NPS server and this works fine. Clients on the switch are authenticated on the NPS-server and the switch then 'opens' the port. The point is that the ports are currently configured for 'Auto' or 'MAC-authentication' in the control mode. Auto for 802.1x auth and MAC-auth for MAC-authentication ofcourse.

Is there a way to enable both types of authentication on the ports? Because when I enable 'Auto' on a port and try to authenticate a client that performs MAC-auth, I get a deny in the NPS-server. I have tried 'Auto' and switch the option 'MAC authentication' in the port settings, but this didn't work. Any ideas?

When I set port 38 to 'Auto', MAC-auth isn't performed and I get a deny in the NPS because it tries 802.1x.
