    One of the key and interesting features of a swtich is to monitor and maintain its processes. It is recommended that the switch has a modular architecture and that runs independent processes in independent spaces so that the failure of one does not affect the others. It is recommended that kernel processes runs separately from the user processes. This feature is present in some HPE switches like HPE 12900E, but what about Aruba´s flagship 8400?.

    Can anybody tell me if there is a user guide or other material destined to show how to monitor and maintain independent processes for Aruba 8400?

    Hello Pedro,

     

    ArubaOS-CX (8320/8400 OS) main core components is a System State DataBase and independent daemons (without inter-processes communication) reading/writing to this DB. This offers very high modularity. Presentation were provided to partners.
