    Hi,

    switch1(config)#vlan 10
    switch1(vlan-10)#name voice
    switch1(vlan-10)#voice

    Can someone advise the purpose of voice option for vlan as above?

    Hi,
    the voice commands enables lldp-med on the vlan.

    you can use QoS
    type of service or L2 QoS for the voip comminication

    my advice use ToS
    priority for voice port

    for example
    qos tcp-port 554 dscp 101110
    qos type-of-service diff-services
