    Hello

One of our customer has asked us to validate the configuration of a 3g USBmodem to be used as backup connection for both 620/650 controllers and for RAP5 access points. We've been able to successfully configure the controller (620) to gain internet access through the 3g USBmodem but have so far been unable to do the same with the RAP5. We're using the same configuration parameters, and have tried all the possible combinations of ttyUSBx but we still haven't managed to get it working. Is there anything else that we should take into account?

    Details:

    ArubaOS version - 6.1.2.8

    USBmodem - Acatel X225L

Cellular params configured (and working) on the controller:

    dialer group euskaltel_esp

      init-string AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","internet.euskaltel.mobi"

      dial-string ATDT*99#

    !

    cellular profile Alcatel

      vendor 1bbb product 17

      serial 1234567890ABCDEF

      dialer euskaltel_esp

      user CLIENTE password EUSKALTEL

      tty ttyUSB4

      driver option

    Thanks for the help

    Best regards

    Samuel Perez,

The driver support for the RAP5 and the 600 series controller is not always the same.  Please open a TAC case, so someone can troubleshoot.  I do not see that specific modem on our supported list, so we might want to TAC to attempt to get those parameters for you.
