  • 1.  RAP Clustering and Public IP

We have an existing controller cluster for RAPs that uses (2) public IPs NAT'd from our firewall to the controller's management IPs. Everything is working, but we have a need to move the public IPs from the firewall to the controller itself. For the clustering, do we still use the same cluster setup with the internal IPs and the RAP Public IPs, or would we use the Public IPS for clustering only at that point?

In addition, do the public IPs need to be L2 or can they be seperate - for example we have 2 different public schemes based on data center, and one controller will be at each data center.

    Thanks!

Confirmed with Aruba that the public IPs do NOT need to have L2 connectivity for clustering. Waiting on confirmation for the cluster config and I will post it here once I get confirmation.
