Our existing cluster is on 8.6.0.4_74969. I don't know what version the new ones are on. The label on the box has a date of 11-8-14 if that helps.

The whole reason we got the matching 215's is so we can plug them in, let them autojoin and be good to go.

I've never had to SSH in to the AP's, or anything else for that matter, so I'm not familiar with the process. If there is documentation on how to get the info you are looking for I'd be happy to get it.

    Hi,

Please share the serial number or the MAC of one of these 2 APs.

    Hi,

Looks like you bought Campus APs (controller based) instead of Instant APs and that is why they do not join existing cluster or don't have a web console

Well that sucks for us. I just pulled one of our existing ones and its the same model, APIN0215, but labeled differently. IAP-215-US vs AP-215.

We have the original 315 (model APIN0315 labeled as IAP-315-US) that we were told would join our cluster. Can you please confirm if it's possible and if we have the right one. MAC-E8:26:89:C0:C9:F2

It was acting similarly so that is why we picked up the 215's

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi,

Yes, this is an IAP and has the same image version running on it and it should join the cluster assuming you are connecting it on the same VLAN.

Is autojoin enabled? Please check 'show summary' to confirm, otherwise we will have to manually whitelist the IAP's mac address for it to join the cluster.

Also, you can try bringing up IAP 315 as Master and then bring up the other 215s and check if they join as slaves.  Let me know if this works.

Thanks for confirming. I can hit the login page but I can't log into the AP. It's not taking admin/admin or admin/serial. I've done a factory reset a few times. The power LED it solid orange and the radio LED is steady flashing green. Everything is connected to a HP ProCurve 2915-8G-PoE.

    What am I missing?
