  • 1.  Receiving Giants error on the AP connected ports

    Hi Mates, 

    I have connected 6 x Aruba 515 indoor APs on 6300M model switch and observed that the AP connected ports are showing same Giants errors. 

    Can someone help me understand the issue?

    Hello Sathish,

    Could you send the logs where you are seeing the errors, please? 

    Or show us the error you are seeing in the APs and switch.

    What version of firmware are you using?

    Access points that use a centralized controller send path MTU discovery packets (PMTU) every minute or so to determine the MTU between the access point and the centralized controller.  This is typical and expected.  You can stop this behavior by setting the MTU parameter in the AP system profile to 1500 if you are on a local lan.

    This is definitely one of the most asked questions.  Please let us know if you need more clarification.

    APs running AOS 10 will do the same thing but without the option to configure an MTU.
