Subject: Replace member stack switch 1960
Hi,I have a stack of 4 Aruba 1960 48 (jl809a) switches from one of my customers. Here is the configuration (the unit IDs are all in AUTO).
One of my switches no longer responds; (member 2 of my stack), I have a 1960 switch (jl809a) in stock, I have to go change it, but I would like to know how to proceed? My main goal was to save the current configuration of my stack. Then on the new switch:Unboxing my new switch.Connect it to my station.Update the firmware to the same level as the stack.Configure my 2 stack ports.Manually assign id 2 to it.Save and turn it off. Then on the old switch, unplug everything, take it out.On the stack, install my new switch, connect the stack cables and connect it electrically.and at the end wire my RJ45.Do you validate?ThanksNicholas
