    I have traps configured on CX 6100 switches and they send RMON traps along with Link state changes:

    I get a link down trap:
    sysUpTime: 72 days, 2:58:59.90, 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1.52: 52, 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.2.52: 1/1/52, 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.7.52: 1, 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8.52: 2, snmpTrapOID: 1.3.6.1.6.3.1.1.5.3
    and then a few seconds later get an RMON trap:
    sysUpTime: 72 days, 2:59:01.12, eventIndex: 404, eventDescription: Link status for interface 1/1/52 is down, snmpTrapOID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.47196.4.1.1.3.4.1.1

    NET-ACX6100x48pwr-31(config)# sho rmon alarm
    RMON alarms are not configured

    I have got the idea that this is an RMON trap from the OID repository website:

    {iso(1) identified-organization(3) dod(6) internet(1) private(4) enterprise(1) 47196 hpeNetworking(4) wiredNetworkingDevices(1) arubaOS-CX(1) wndFeatures(3) arubaWiredMgmdRmonTrapMIB(4) arubaWiredMgmdRmonTrapNotifications(1) arubaWiredMgmdRmonTrapEvent(1)}

    They are running 10.09.1040

    Does anyone have any ideas why I would be getting RMON traps when RMON is not configured, or am I reading this wrong?
