Hi all,
Unfortunately I must confirm that there is a problem in the spanning tree behavior on the simulator.
As some of you have correctly pointed out, the show spanning ... commands display the correct state., but the actual traffic forwarding is not respecting that state.
Regards, Ruben.-

Hello!
I never got Spanning Tree to work in a Simulator, though the switches are building the spanning tree like they should when you check the state of the ports after the switches formed the Spanning Tree. But when traffic is hitting the ports, they do not block the traffic on the simulator, as the ports state indicates they should do. I am remembering to have found a thread somewhere her in the forums, that this is a limitation of the simulated environment.
BR,

Hello,
I'm having trouble getting Spanning Tree to work properly in OS-CX (tested in both EVE-NG and GNS3, always with the same result).
I've set up a basic configuration with Spanning Tree enabled on two switches. When one node pings the other, some pings time out. Does anyone know if I'm doing something wrong, or if this is a limitation of the emulation environment? I've also tried different firmware versions for the switches, but the result remains the same. I'm attaching a diagram and switch configuration.
