    Hi Everyone,

When I test RSTP convergence I note ping IP -t replies are intermittent, can someone advise what causes this behavior given the following configuration?

The Arubu switches are 2930M JL322A series and have AV hardware attached.

    All switches:

    igmp filter-unknown-mcast

We are using VLAN 11 for the AV hosts, which has the command:

    ip ipmg

    SW-0-1 (Core Layer 2/3 switch)

CST Root Port: This switch is root

    SW-0-5 (Edge AV switch)

    CST Root Port:48

    SW-0-6 (Edge AV switch)

    CST Root Port:48

A laptop connected to SW-0-6 and has an DHCP allocated IP address and a ping <IP> -t running.

SW-0-5 and SW-0-6 are connected via an alternate port (47).

    SW-0-1 (Core Layer 2/3 switch)

bpdu filters exclude data VLAN uplink ports and router outbound port

    spanning-tree
    spanning-tree 40 bpdu-filter
    spanning-tree 45 bpdu-filter
    spanning-tree 46 bpdu-filter
    spanning-tree 47 bpdu-filter
    spanning-tree 48 bpdu-filter
    no spanning-tree bpdu-throttle
    spanning-tree trap new-root root-guard loop-guard
    spanning-tree priority 0 force-version rstp-operation

    SW-0-5 and SW-0-6

    spanning-tree
    spanning-tree trap new-root root-guard loop-guard
    spanning-tree force-version rstp-operation

Hope someone can assist. Thank you.

    Hi,

Do you are sure it is a issue with STP ? what do you have on the log ?
