This message is about the server certificate for the WebUI or captive portal. I recognize the name and it's a server certificate that I uploaded myself. Saw other messages on other controllers about expired certificates, so you may even try to upload an already expired certificate, where the message may be only once a day when the certificates are checked. It was just a suggestion, and there may be other or better methods, but I'm just not aware of those.

I checked on a lab controller, and the only CRIT message that I could find is an expiring/expired certificate:
Aug 21 22:42:39 192.168.31.16 certmgr[3280]: <118013> <3280> <CRIT> <md7005 192.168.31.16> Certificate arubalab.com-202410 is going to expire in less than 60 days.
You may upload a (close to) expirect certificate and attach that to the captive-porta/webui or something.
