    Hi Airheads Community,I'm having trouble with my Aruba 7008 controller's web interface - it's super slow! Every time I try to access the management GUI, it takes forever to load. Really frustrating!What's happening:

      • Takes ages to load the web interface pages
      • Been like this for a while now
      • Already tried upgrading firmware and resetting the controller, but no luck

    • Current Environment

      • My setup:
        • Controller: Aruba 7008
        • Running version: 8.10.0.15 LSR
        • 1~2 AP connected
        • Around 10 users
        • Been up for about 7 days

      Issue Description

      The web interface responds very slowly when accessing the management GUI. The issue persists:
      • After multiple firmware upgrades
      • After controller reset
      • Across different browser sessions

      System Status

      CPU and Memory
      • CPU Usage: Fluctuating between 9% to 46%
      • Memory Usage: 2526496k used out of 3069040k total
      • Regular warnings about CPU threshold exceeding 45%

      Troubleshooting Steps Taken

      1. Performed controller reset
      2. Upgraded firmware to multiple versions
      3. Monitored system resources and logs
      4. Regular maintenance procedures

    You're running ~9 year old hardware, fully loaded down.

    You can open a case with TAC to see if something is malfunctioning, but you're probably in need of an upgrade.

    Sometimes it helps if you just repeat the upgrade. And sometimes it helps if you just flush the controller and install it from scratch. It could be some issue from previous upgrades that is lurking around and you can remove it with fresh install.

    I actually encountered a similar situation recently when I cleared the boot flash. During startup, I received insufficient flash space warnings. At that time, I had to clean up the flash again and re-import the command

    Would you recommend any additional steps I should take to ensure a complete cleanup of the system?

    When my controller was running version 8.10.0.12, I encountered an issue where the license generation time was inconsistent with the system time. This persisted even after NTP server synchronization. I cleared the bt. that time, I didn't encounter any web service issues due to insufficient flash space. After reloading the image and wiping out the flash, clearing all configurations, the license timing still had some issues but the system was.After upgrading to 8.10.0.14, I experienced a PEF license deactivation issue (despite the license being imported). This was resolved by reloading the configuration. The system has been running normally since by reloading the configuration. The system has been running normally since .

    Hi Shen,

    Do you see this issue regularly? Did you try with different browser? When issue happens, please collect HAR file from browser and following outputs from CLI.
    show web-server profile

    show web-server statistics

    show datapath session verbose | include <client IP>,Pa

    show datapath session dpi | include <client IP>,Pa

    show netstat tcp | include httpd

    show process monitor statistics | include  httpd

    show processes | include httpd

    Hi Sheng.

    You already try almost everything. I usually resolve those issues with applying the upgrade. On times when this didn't work I erased the flash and uploaded FW to empty partition and reconfigure controller from scratch. This was very extreme case and I did this only one time. The second time this happened it was flash memory went bad and I need to replace the controller.

    If you have active contract open the case with TAC.

    Hello,

    Do a factory reset of the controller and upload this version but to the other partition, if you uploaded it to partition 0, upload it to partition 1, and boot the image version from there to see if the GUi runs faster in that partition.
