    I want to know the advantages and disadvantages by enabling and disabling the below SNMP-TRAPS.

    wlsxAPNumColdStarts                        
    wlsxAPNumWarmStarts      
    wlsxAPPortDown          
    wlsxAPPortUp

    Descriptions of what is provided in the Mibs is in the Mib itself.  For example in the aruba-trap.my file:

    wlsxAPNumColdStarts NOTIFICATION-TYPE
    OBJECTS {wlsxTrapTime, wlsxTrapAPMacAddress,wlsxTrapAPLocation,
    wlsxTrapAPIpAddress,wlsxTrapCount}
    STATUS current
    DESCRIPTION

    A trap which indicates the number of cold starts of an access point.

    wlsxAPNumWarmStarts NOTIFICATION-TYPE
    OBJECTS {wlsxTrapTime, wlsxTrapAPMacAddress,wlsxTrapAPLocation,

    A trap which indicates the number of warm starts of an access point.


    Of course, you would have to search the text of all of the .my files in the aruba-mibs tar.gz file.

    Re-reading your post, the advantages and disadvantages depends on what NMS (network monitoring system) actually reads and processes those traps.  If you are not interpreting those traps, it is no advantage to you because no software is doing anything with it..

    That would be a full reboot vs. a bootstrap.  Both of those are available in the output of "show ap debug counters"
