  • 1.  Solarwinds SEM and Aruba 6300m

    Hi there
    I am trying to integrate Aruba 6330m with Solarwinds SEM but it is not receiving the syslog data.

    Can someone assist? Thanks!

    Hi Blake,

    Did you configure syslog server on the 6300 Switch?

    Did you test if the switch is able to reach the Solarwinds SEM (for example ping)?

    If you have configured the syslog (switch(config)# logging syslog-IP) and the syslog is reachable, you have to check the configuration on the Solarwinds side.
    Additionally you may perform a Wireshark trace on this machine to check if you are receiving something from the switch, or use the following guide/tool from solarwinds: https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/sem/content/getting_started_guide/gsg-verify-events-sending-logs.htm

    Hi there
     I'm really stuck on this. I ran the debugs and the switches are sending out traffic but for some reason the switch is not showing up in SEM.
    Its frustrating.

    Do you mean that you are not able to find the switch as a SEM connector, when you are following the below guide:

    Here a list of the SEM connectors available (Routers/Switches list), wherе I am not able to find something related to CX switches:

    As Solarwinds SEM is not known to me and I am not aware if you are able to specify your own connector, I think that its best to contact the solarwinds support for further help.
