I have two switches configured with MSTP.

I set EDGE1 as STP priority 15 and the CoreRouter as STP priority 0.

However I am still receiving errant BPDU's on the Uplink from EDGE1 to the CoreRouter.

    I've attached 3 logs:

    1. STP debug run from the core router
    2. Sanitized Core Router config with STP info
    3. Sanitized Edge Switch config with STP info

Why does the Edge Switch insist on being the root switch?
Why am I seeing BPDU's on the uplink from Edge1 to the Core Router?

    Hi,

Do you have bdpu-protection enabled? Can you share the output of show spanning-tree bpdu-protection?

Good call.. I did not have BPDU protection enabled, however I did have BPDU-Filter enabled on the Router interface that connects to the Switch.

Take a look at this post about errant bpdu received on a port.
