  • 1.  Spectrum monitoring - Hardware compatibility

    Hello,

     

    I just owned an AP-505, and while trying to enable the Spectrum Monitoring on the radio interfaces (Instant 8.6.0.0), an error message is displayed saying

    "Spectrum Monitoring is not supported on wifi0 radio of AP-505"

     

    Pretty strange behavior as SM has always been supported on all IAP hardware (IAP-105 for example).

     

    Is this a new software limitation ?

    Do you if this behavior may change ?

     

    And mostly, where can I find a SM compatibility matrix ?

    do you mean "background spectrum monitoring"in Instant 8.6.0

    under Configuration->RF->Radio->2.4?

    Spectrum analysis is not supported in 8.6.0.0 on AP-50x. This will be addressed in an upcoming release.

    8.6 release notes are being updated, since this defect is not currently covered.
