  • 1.  STP config for AOS-S / CX switches in Aruba Central

    Hi all,

I'm configuring spanning tree on my switched network.  I have an idea of what I'm going to do, but I wanted to get some feedback from y'all.

    • I have a hub and spoke network with the default MST enabled.
    • I will set the core swtich to priority 0 so it's the root bridge.

Here's how I'm thinking about setting all the ports:

    • Edge ports (end user devices like computers and desk phone.
      • Admin-edge = ENABLED
      • BPDU protection = ENABLED
    • non managed switches (these are small Netgear switches, under peoples desks in over crowded offices.)
      • BPDU filter = ENABLED
      • loop protection = ENABLED
    • non-edge ports (All my Aruba Central managed, Aruba switches running MST)
      • no extra settings configured.

Please let me know what you think.

I'd really appreciate some feedback.  How do you setup spanning-tree options?
