    Dear All,

I would really appreciate if you all give  your insights regarding this issue.

I issued show spanning-tree vlan xx in Aruba 5406Rzl2 switch and it says stp mode is MST and STP is not enabled. Does this means I will have to enable spanning tree in the switch and I would appreciate if some one can let me know how does STP works in Aruba OS.

    Thank you and Regards,
    Gayan

    Hi Gayan,

"In the factory default configuration, spanning tree operation is off" https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/a00091310en_us , page 91.

So yes, you need to enable STP if it wasn't enabled before during previous configuration sessions.
