    Hi 

     

    I just buy a switch v1910-8g poe, I try to loggin with my web broser and i got the next message

     

    "HP 1910-8G-PoE+ (180W) Switch Software Version Release 1111P01 en ab000000 Save Help Logout Are you sure to save the current configuration? HP 1910-8G-PoE+ (180W) Switch Software Version Release 1111P01 ie 0 0 admin 3"

     

    I also tried to:

     

    open with firefoz and chrome but i get the same message.

     

    I renitialize the default factory software configuration

     

    but I got the same message 

     

    I´m looking for the firmware update software in the web, but i didn´t found the link to download

     

    the current boot app is: flash:/V1910-CMW520-R1111P01.bin

    hardware version is REV.A

    CPLD version is 001

    Bootrom version is 154

     

    could you please give a clue, about this error message?  do I need to update the firmware??

    Hi,

     

    never had that message. But you can also upgrade the firmware via console port.

    Did you find a solution to this? I'm getting the same problem straight out of the box. i.e. No web interface.

    I can answer my own question. You are right. Upgrading the bootrom/runtime fixes the problem. I can now use the web interface to manage the switch.

    I upgraded to V1910-CMW520-R1513P06 using the console/serial port cable, Hyperterminal, and a TFTP srever (Tftpd32).

    FWIW, HP should really be shipping these switches with fully functional software already loaded.
