  • 1.  Too many channel changes on 5 GHz

    Posted Sep 21, 2018 09:51 AM

    Dear all,

    We are experiencing some trouble on our IAP305 and IAP275.

    Users had disconections and slow-down when connecting to Wi-Fi.

    Investigating on Airwave, I found that a huge part of the IAP keep on changing 5 GHZ channel (see photos below).

    This behaviour happens in different locations, and I don't see any noise on Airwave.

    Does anyone have an idea of what's going wrong ?

    IAP = 6.5.1.0-4.3.1.0_57768

    Airwave = 8.2.3.1

    What are your ARM configuration parameters for 5ghz band?

    Hi,

    Here are the settings (sorry it's in French):

    I think your transmit power is too high.

    Make the "Puissance de transmission min" 12

    Make the "Puissance de transmission max" 18

    Do you have broadcast filtering on all of your SSIDs?

    Thanks for the information, I change it.

    About the broadcast, no filtering:

    You should consider turning on broadcast filtering on all of your SSIDs, because that will improve performance.
