I have a VSX Cluster that is all set up and seems to be working for the most part. I am having a weird issue and I am not sure where to look...

I have a switch that is running its own DHCP Services. It is handing out IP addresses no problem. I am able to ping some devices on that switch from a switch that is in between the one with the cameras and my VSX Cluster. The weird part is on the cluster, I can ping the devices from switch on the bottum of the cluster, but I cannot ping them from the one on the top of the cluster. I have been trying to connect some of the devices on that switch to a program running on a VM, but I cannot ping the devices from the VM either. I can ping them from my computer with no issue, but I am connected to the switch in between the one with the devices and my VSX Cluster. I guess to summarize, I can ping devices that are downstream from the switch on the bottom of my VSX cluster, but not the top and I am not sure where to look from here...

    Hi

We need a little more information for troubleshooting. Kindly, could you please share the following outputs of both VSX nodes?

    • show version
    • show vsx brief
    • show vsx status
    • show vsx config-consistency
    • show run int <ISL interface used by VSX>
    • show int brief
    • show lacp aggr
    • show run int <interface with the device connected which causes troubles>
    • show spanning-tree summary port
    • show spanning-tree interface <interface with the device connected which causes troubles>

You may PM the details to me if you are not willing to share the details publicly or sanitize the output such, that one can still recognize the relevant details (e.g., do not remove the entire MAC addresses but maybe the middle part).

    Regards,

    Thomas
