Hi all,
I'm having trouble with new, out-of-the-box Unified APs not being able to discover their Mobility Controller automatically. It worked until recently, I think it may be related to this batch of APs that I have received from Aruba.
Unfortunately, we still have a handful of previous vendor APs in the same subnet, which also use Option 43, so I am using the Vendor Class Identifier to pass the correct Controller IP Address to the correct vendor. However, nothing has changed. I am using the VCI of "ArubaAP" to specify the Aruba Controller IP Address for Campus APs.
During packet captures, I noticed that the Unified APs specify a VCI of "ArubaInstantAP" before being converted to a campus AP. I've tried to add this to the DHCP server as a second VCI match using Option 60 with the same Controller IP, but no luck.
My question is... Do I need to specify the "ArubaInstantAP" VCI on the DHCP server as well as "ArubaAP"?
