Controllerless Networks

Hey guys.

Apologies as I did try to find the upgrade path documentation but I wasn't successful.
Previous Airhead community member told me to check the AP Datasheets, but I can't find that info anywhere within the Datasheet:

I do suspect I can go straight to the upgraded firmware version but in reality want to verify and not assume as it is for a large corporate customer.

Could someone please:

1. Confirm if I can do the upgrade as per Post Subject

2. Confirm where I am going wrong in not beign able to locate the upgrade paths?

You can go to 8.5.0.4 from 8.3.0.1 because the IAP 345 supports it.  If this is a controller-based AP without an MM, you should do a backup flash on the controller and then upgrade.  If this is a controller-based AP WITH and MM, you should do a backup flash on the MM, then the MDs.  Next you will want to upgrade the MM to 8.5.0.4, first, and then the MDs.

Still would like if possible to understand why I cant locate where AP upgrade paths are if none show in the Datasheets.

The datasheets are static, EDIT: and show the minimum version of ArubaOS required to support that AP.  The release notes for every version of ArubaOS have a table of supported APS:
