    Hello,

I had to upgrade an Aruba Controller, and I would like to know if there are upgrade path before getting the latest stable OS for the Aruba Controller.

The Version of the controller is 6.5.4.3 and I would like to know which is the latest stable version for the Aruba 7220.

Moreover, I wanted to know when you update the Controller, does the AP automatically reboot themselves or does it need some manual instruction to get it upgrade.
Is it possible to have some guidelines to update a mobility controller.

I hope to hear you soon

The latest conservative release for ArubaOS is 8.3.0.9.  The transition from ArubaOS 6.x to 8.x will require you to factory reset your controller and start from scratch.  Yes, the controller will have to reboot, the access points will detect that their firmware does not match that of the controller and they will upgrade themselves and reboot, as well.

Administrators typically upgrade controllers for increased hardware or software support.   They use that to determine what ArubaOS they want to upgrade to.  A good place to look at what would be involved is the release notes.  I am attaching the 8.3.0.9 release notes here for your reference.
