    Hi all,

I am trying to assign different roles to my wifi clients using the user-derivation rule with DHCP-Option-77. So I set the DHCP-Option-77 to my Windows client with the DOS command "ipconfig /setclassid INTERFACE <STRING>" and set in my Aruba Controller the value (in hex) of the string on the derivation rule that I assigned to the AAA profile of my SSID.

    This is a WPA2/AES-PSK SSID.

But my client doesn't change the initial role like I expected. It remains with the initial role of the SSID.

So, how can I use the dhcp-option-77 to assign different roles?

    Thanks,

    Massimo

Please turn on dhcp debugging to confirm the DHCP option is present.
