    Hi,

I´d like to connect/access to devices which are monitored in the AMP via the "Device Info" Page regarding the documentation...
When you hover over the link, a pop-up menu appears that allows you to access the
device using HTTP, HTTPs, telnet or SSH.

Telnet is working fine and without a problem - clicking on "Telnet" the system app telnet.exe opens but when trying the same  clicking on "SSH" nothing happens! Does anybody know which Software/Application AMP is using for those kind of access and if/where this could be changed?

This hasn't been tested for a while. Are these IAP's or Campus AP's?
If Campus AP's, I would suggest using controller options in AirWave to run commands.

AirWave uses HTTPs proxy to SSH to the devices.

@Gowri Amujuri oh, I really didn't want to read that :(
ín my case I`m monitoring 3rd party devices with SNMPv3 and the customer would like to jump directly from Airwave to these switches...

Unfortunately, we have not tested the option for 3rd party devices. Dont think it would work. However, for SSH to work, there should be SSH creds of the device to be added in the Device > Manage page.

the question for me is, which terminal program/application should AirWave open up when using SSH? as I´ve said, for telnet e.g. the Server system app telnet.exe is used and it works without telnet credentials entered under the manage page!

AirWave uses OpenSSH to the devices.

@Gowri Amujuri thanks for your replies on that topic! It really looks like there`s a problem regarding the app/software AirWave tries to use for the SSH connection... maybe you`ve hint how I could probably fix that (Windows Server 2019)?

    Hi Dan,

I use MAC and able to SSH to a Aruba Controller IP from AirWave and it has my 'terminal' application and opens SSH to the controller properly.

Not sure on Windows, i dont have access to a Windows machine currently. But probably should be 'Putty' or any SS client your browser can detect from your PC. Again, for 3rd party devices i am not sure if we can SSH with SNMPv3 creds. For Aruba and Cisco controllers we can open SSH terminal using the admin credentials.

You may try to register your SSH client (example putty.exe) as protocol handler in Windows. An internet search gives quite some results, and this looks usable for putty. Note: external link and I have not tested either, just looks like it may work.

@Gowri Amujuri and @Herman Robers I´d like to give you an update on the problem I faced, in the end the solution was quite simple because of the hints you gave me... :)
I used Firefox and indeed there was no application specified for SSH that the browser should use (about:config...) ! I´d like to thank you both for your help and need to apologize for not searching in more detail by myself!
