  • 1.  V-M200 cannot choose United States for radio regulatory domain

    Posted Jan 14, 2012 08:40 PM

I picked up a HP V-M200 for cheap from a government surplus store.  When I go to Management -> Country, United States is not in the drop down list.

Here is what I've tried so far:

    • I've checked the model, and it is the US not world wide version.
    • I've hardware rest the device via the button on the back.
    • From the management GUI I hit reset configuration
    • I've re-flashed the latest firmware

Right now I'm using Canada as my country and it seems to be working OK.  I think this only limits what frequencies and channels the radio can use, and I think Canada and the United States use the same ones.  Did anyone else have this issue?

Or if you view the source code on the country selection page, can someone give me the value for United States?

We purchased 20 of these units from GovConnection and they all arrived the same way...

We are using the "Canada" chioce also...

This problem (US version can't select US as a regulatory domain) is a known issue.  There were a small number of units manufactured like this.

If you contact support, they can provide you with a way to fix these units.

    Thanks.
