  • 1.  Voice VLANs and Trunk/Hybrid Port Types

I am trying to figure out what the difference is between a Trunk Port and a Hybrid port. I am working on a voice vlan configuration and I've seen voice vlans be configured on both trunk types and hybrid types. I will be using PoE Cisco phones so I am assuming I want to go with a trunk port. Can anyone add some clarification as to the advantages of both types?

So in the case of using VoIP phones, in Cisco world, I am used to using a trunked port. Is it advisable to use a hybrid in Comware world even if the Voice VLAN is tagged?

I usually use trunk port on VOIP configuration ... it works normally. But you should not have problems using hybrid port
