Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and to HP and aruba switches.

I would like to manage a VSF stack with 2 members over a 3rd switch.
the VSF stack is already built.
    how do I proceed now?

The VSF stack consists of 2 Aruba 5400R zl2 switches. I would like to manage these via an Aruba 2930M switch.

    Thank you in advance!

    Good morning

What you are trying to plan to do is not possible.

We have a VSF limitation on the 5406 family of only stacking two boxes.

Besides, the 2930M doesn't do VSF either, it uses Backplane Stacking technology.

In summary, they are different families and models running the same operating system, ArubaOS, but with particularities when we talk about stacking.

I'm attaching stacking best practices in case it helps.

The OP is not asking to extend the already built two members VSF to the Aruba 2930M but he is askng how to manage the VSF through that third switch...
