We are mounting AP 105's and have been debating wall mount vs ceiling mount options. It sounds like ceiling mount is the preferred method. Does anyone know if this is the case and if so what the advantages/disadvantages are?
Thanks
Most of the RF on an AP105 is directed out the face and very little comes out the back, so it is optimal to mount it on the ceiling. If you want to mount on the wall, please ensure that the face of the AP105 is pointed to where you want coverage.
How to mount AP92 which has external antennas?
What would be the position of antennas if we want to throw the signals in specific direction?
Thanks for the information. Assuming the ceiling is 9 or 10 ft high any idea how wide the coverage would be?
You can expect very good coverage 30 feet radius either side, which is how you would deploy for a standard office deployment. If it is open space you can expect even more. You should have no problems deploying this AP on the ceiling.
I'm having AP-ANT-1BP and i want to cover corridor and room attached with corridor
I would just put the antenna vertical and measure the coverage.
The antenna datasheet/pattern is here: http://www.arubanetworks.com/pdf/products/ap-ant-1b_ss.pdf

Thank you for your valuable information
