It depends what log you want to retain, but ClearPass is an authentication server and not a log collector or retainer.
In most cases, if you want long and reliable log storage, you would send logs to a SIEM or other log collector. You can configure your controllers or APs to send syslog, ClearPass as well. For Central you probably will need to collect those through the streaming API.
