  • 1.  Web Config Page - HP Procurve Switch 2510G-24 (J9279A)

    I have a HP Procurve Switch 2510G-24 (J9279A) I have updated it to the latest firmware (Y.11.52) but this hasn't updated the web config page. It's still an old ropey Java based web page.  Will this model not upgrade any further?

    It's a 10 years old switch series (it dates back to 2009...or before)...so don't expect much more further software updates in the next future.

    The web management dashboard should support various web browsers (as per Release Notes): what web browser have you tried with? have you tried, as example, with Mozilla Firefox 52 ESR - it's not the latest available - available here which is the latest Firefox ESR version supporting Java (see here for reference)?

    I've managed to get the page working in IE, but it does crash a bit. Doesn't work in any other browser including the version of Firefox you mentioned. We have a lot of switches and just a handful of these.  Was just hoping they may have updated the software for it!
