  • 1.  Which converted Clearpass NL license key do I use?

    Posted Aug 22, 2018 11:33 AM

    I just converted my 2 Clearpass licenses to Clearpass NL licenses.  What I received was 4 licenses per appliance.  How do I go about importing these into Clearpass?  I've tried entering all 4 in Administratrion > Server Manager > Licensing > Servers but all 4 return "You have entered an invalid key".

    What am I missing?

    What type of licenses are they?

    AC = Access

    OG = OnGuard

    OB = Onboard

    The application licenses (Access/Onboard/OnGuard) should be added under Administration >> Server Manager >> Licensing >> Add License/Application.

    Thanks, I was confused because when I clicked on Add License it only gave the choice for Access, OnBoard, and OnGuard.  But I choose Access for the main 5K appliance license and that gave me 5000 access licenses.  I'm all set.

    As stated by Victor Fabin, your old (6.6.x) Policy manager license key will be your platform activation key (auto converted when you upgrde to 6.7.0) + you will be getting equivalent Access license (when you convert the subscrioption to NL).

    You could refer ClearPass 6.7 license conversion for more details.

    The old policy manager license will be your platform Activation Keys (server keys) , the Access / Onboard / Onguard are your application keys

    Thank you
