    Hi,

Do any of you guys have experience of deploying Aruba Wi-Fi in manufacturing areas and warehouses.  I would interested to know which AP's you use and whether you use internal or external antennas,  any experiences shared would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

I have done deployments in both manufacturing and warehouses.    Each deployment is going to differ, but we've had good success with using AP-105s.  Ceiling heights have been 30 feet up to 50 feet.

    Hi,

Thanks for your response,  have you ever had need to use external antennas in that environment.  We have traditionally used external antennas (in non-Aruba deplyoments) and I'm contemplating whether we could have just as much success with using the internal antennas for future deployments.

    Thanks

We've had some ARM trouble when we use external (high gain) antennas.

Specifically, the AP's can see each other quite well as they're well above the equipment below, so ARM doesn't always make the best decision for the end-points down below.

Denser deployments with internal antennas seem to make much better ARM decisions.
