    Hi,

I cannot find a driver of WL 100 11Mbps Wireless LAN PC Card(Agency Series NC 5004; Supports IEEE 802.11b High Rate 2.4GHz DSSS) for winXP in HP website. Does someone know what to do? My laptop is Compaq Armada E500. I'll really greatly appreciate your help in advance.

    Sincerely,
    HANAMIZUKI

    The driver is here:

    It was hard to find.

Please assign points if this helped.

    Thanks, Matt.

I really appreciate your response. However, I have downloaded the driver(SP 21265)from the site earlier(Sorry, I should've mentioned it in my original question). WL 100 PC Card could not find the driver by itself after I inserted the hardware into my laptop, and I tried to do it manually through control panel. Then, prompt appeared, and said "Continuing your installation of this software may impair or destabilize the correct operation of your system either immedoately or in the future" because the driver "has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP."

Does this occur because my operating system is XP service pack 2? Should I ignore the prompt, and just continue the installation? I have a bad experience that I ignored when the exactly same prompt appeared, and continued the installation. At that time my laptop made a horrible unbearable noise, and nearly crushed. I need your professional opinion.

    Thank you so much!

I would personally ignore the warning, but on the same token I would also look at upgrading to a newer card. It is very unlikely that the WL 100 will support any of the new encyption methods like WPA.
