Hi All, My friend has an WL215 usb wireless adapter, and he uses Slackware 9.1 as his main OS. He is asking me to check if there is any driver from hp that he can use for his equipment? If there isn't any in hp, can someone point to me the link where he can get one? Lastly, what is the chipsets used in WL215? Prisms' has good linux support, not sure about others though. Thanks!

The WLAN portion of the 215 is the Agere Hermes chipset. It uses a Cypress USB bridge chip because the Hermes did not have native USB support.

    thanks for the reply.

So is there any success story on from anyone that used WL215 with any flavour of Linux OS? Or is there any way he can test his usb adpter on his machine? He only owns the adapter, no modem nor router yet. He doesn't want to invest further until he knows for sure the adapter works on his machine. Advance thanks!
