  • 1.  WLAN - Traffic not tagged in correct VLAN

    Posted Feb 07, 2021 02:39 AM
    Hi all.

I am using Aruba Central, with 2930 Switches connected to my Access Points.

If I leave my WLAN in the Default VLAN it works fine, but as soon as I assign a different VLAN via Aruba Central, I do not connectivity.

Below is the config on my switch   (and all my vlans are allowed allowed across my trunk uplinks)

    CORE:

    interface vlan140
        description WiFi_Corp
        ip address 172.16.128.1/19
        ip helper-address 10.0.1.250
        exit

    ACCESS:
    vlan 140
       name "WiFi_Corp"
       tagged 1/36-1/40,2/36-2/40,Trk2
       no ip address
       exit

Maybe you have to test what is really the issue on that, 1 test I propose is to configure an access port with wlan vlan on the access switch and connect a laptop in order to verify you get IP, DNS GW, it means, the access you are providing. At this point you may know all is ok at the wired side.

Then, no so much to verify at the APs, if they are Aruba Instant mode you have to choose the vlan you want to provide to the SSID and it works

    Regards

    No worries thanx.

I got it sorted out !  There was another AP on the network that caused wasn't in the correct port that caused all the issues
